 Welcome to the C.S. Lewis Online Academy. I started this online academy to bring to life the life and works of C.S. Lewis, The Inklings, and other revolutionaries. I am teaching these courses because I love the Narnian Chronicles, The Space Trilogy, and the life of C S Lewis as depicted in Surprised by Joy. And I love interacting with others who also love these works--or, even better, helping those reading them for the first time. I have been an avid reader of C. S. Lewis for more than 30 years, and I was first introduced to him as an undergraduate student at a school near Tampa, Florida, called Florida College. The first work of his I ever read was Mere Christianity and, from there, I have ended up reading everything of his I could locate and in print (which means over 100 books and collections of various sorts!). This led me to write my doctoral dissertation on Lewis at the University of Texas in the late 1970s. It is my hope to bring you courses that are engaging, interactive, and stir up your passion and creativity for life.
